Bought new in mid 2000 for $379+tax, bulbs were replaced in Feb 2003 with 10k smart lamps that ran 8 hours a day. Still plenty of life left in bulbs, This is the retrofit kit, has 2/55 watt ballasts, 4x55 watt smart lamps, extra long power and lamp cords, all mounting supplies included. Reflector measures 47" x 9.5"

reflector can be cut in half for shorter tanks making it 23.5"x9.5"x2" and using only 1 ballast and 2 55 watt lamps.
