QT tank

my NC 24 is almost cycled and i wanna find out the easiest and cheapest way to build a QT

A 10g with PVC pipes cut up and a HO filter like an Aqua Clear and a heater.

E30 hit it on the nose. I have an old 5 gal hex or a 4.5 gallon rubbermaid tote that I use instead of a 10 (less water for water changes).

remember in your HOB filter, don't run anything in it if you're treating with medication. Things like carbon remove these medications.

Personally, I use a Sponge filter in my main tank's sump, then when I need to set up a QT in a hurry, I have a filter thats loaded with beneficial bacteria ready to go.
