Question Firefish

I was just wondering how to care for Firefish Gobies. I have a 46 gallon reef tank with plenty of live rock. Are they easy to take care of? I have a couple cardinalfish, blue green chromises, clownfish, and a watchman goby, are any of these fish aggresive towards firefish or will the firefish be aggresive towards any of these fish?

Any replies are appreciated Thanks.

My understanding is that they are passive fish who are often the target of agression. They can jump out of tanks so a good cover is important. The biggest problem is that it seems to be kind of hard to get them onto prepared foods. But once you do easy to take care of. Also not very prone to ich.

i have one that i purchased "used" off of a guy who was tearing down his tank. he said everytime he caught it out of his sump it would within a day jump back in the overflow. it was housed with 3 larger tangs. sweet little fish, and eats like a pig. I call him dracula!

I would suggest covering your tank if you are planning to keep one

sounds like you already have quite a few fish in the 46, but i guess as long as your water params are all ok and the fish are happy you could probably get away with one more, firefish are very passive, i dont think it should be a problem with your current inhabitants. they are known to jump so maybe think about covering the tank if you get one.

Mine eat everything from flakes to frozen food from the day we bought them. We're housed with a 3" clownfish, sailfin tang, 3" bangaii cardinal and even introduced an achilles tang. They started spawning about 3 months later. Very fun to watch.
Do have some sort of covering on top.
