Anyone interested in buying a slightly used Tunze Stream

Although I wonder how this unit will stand up to calcium buildup. Sounds like some moving parts that might get stuck?

Any word on the lead time for these puppies? I'm wondering if they are made to order.

It's hard for me to resist picking up the phone right now and placing an order - I've been so good this month staying within budget!

Wow..(part tag.) I imagine one could block off a port or two in the eight port modle and have four corners alone with a couple behind the rocks?...hmm...I didnt see anything about pressure, does anyone have any numbers on what pressure these can handle?...oh boy, this will be interesting to watch. Who are the guineas?...lol.

But the SPS can't help their feelings If they like the way they're made. And they wonder why the LPS Can't be happy in their shade..So the LPS formed a union And demanded equal rights. "The SPS are just too greedy; We will make them give us light." Now there's no more SPS oppression, For they passed a noble law, And the Corals are all kept equal By Reefer.. frag.. and saw.

It looks as if they have allready thought of that!

for those wishing to have only 4 returns to the tank, with larger outlets ( we internally connect 1&2 3&4 5&6 7&8 or combinations of above),

The inlet is on the bottom and the four outlets are around the side.

Is there more to this unit? It looks awkward to mount - with the screw holes around the perimiter it looks like you mount it with the hole for the inlet facing whatever you mount it too....

Wouldn't this make it extremely hard to plumb? I just can't picture four outlets all going in different directions....

This is nice!

As far as mounting it - Take the 8 way for example. I am SURE that it would be more compact and "cleaner" than 4 sqwd's.

People keep trying(myself included), but you cannot fit 10 lbs of crap in a 5 lb bag.

If you have a tank that can use 8 different inlets, then you will be able to find room for this.

It seems that some posters envision this in the tank. It is external and not submersable. IMHO

Sweet never-the-less.

I wonder about the replacement of the motor. It looks like a damper motor for HVAC systems. Does anybody know what it is and confirm it is 120V

BTW - flex pvc is great!

Seems like an 8-way squid to me. Only one port is activated at a time, so you'd have a mag9 flow going out one 3/4" outlet at a time. The other 7 ports would be dead. So, flow changes around the tank, but there wouldn't be a lot of flow.

I do like the 4 port version better than a squid; it looks more "industrial" and like it could be cleaned and maintained.

I like it. It looks like a modified motorized ballvalve.

somebody didn't read the info

oh, and the guy e-mailed me with prices etc. He said he was sorry about the delay in response (um yeah, it took all of 2 hours, probably about the fastest turn around in customer service you can dream of)

here's a link where he's answering questions:

oh yeah, and he also mentioned some 1" models of the "revolutions", as I had inquired running a 4-way off of an ampmaster 3K.

Very nice design!

I'm thinking that the 360 rotating heads could be pretty easily modified to 180. Think two ports instead of one, with the back port blocked off when it rotates past it. Similar to some of the pop-up sprinkler heads. Other angle setups could be made easily too, but with his skills, I'm sure he has thought of this and is working on it.

I can't wait to see one first hand. I'll have to ask the LFS to get a "demo" unit in.

Zeph
