It seems to be that the DSB in the main tank, which gets all the food, is much more "alive" than the DSB in my refugium.

MM, did you put a DSB in your new 300?

nope

but i have a dedicated 150 gal refugium

with alot of life

and a 65 gal frag tank with LIVE SAND plumbed into the system

thats not including my sump

maybe after the holidays i can help you take it out

That would be great, if I take the plunge.

MM, Did you put starboard on the bottom of your tank? My bottom is 3/4" tempered glass, so I don't think I need it. Or maybe I'll just put starboard along the front 12".

Wow... it's been a while since I've looked at this thread... 96 pages!!!!

Well, I changed from a CC bed a while back (just over a year now i think), and I couldn't be happier. I used cutting board from The Cutting Board Company (thecuttingboardcompany.com), and never turned back.
