Canthigaster Valentini?
Does anybody have experience with keeping these puffers in reef tanks? What inverts did you have? Did it eat anything? What size tank? What tankmates? Were they aggressive? What did you feed it? How often? etc...

reef3r, in ding some reading on these very cool puffers, they are not suppose to be reef safe- they will nip at corals and will not hesitate to eat mobile inverts.

I am reading a lot of conflicting info on them... some say they won't eat corals if well fed, some say they will only eat hermits, some say they will only eat small inverts.... it's confusing.

I was looking into them, too. They are probably your best chance at a reef safe puffer, but they are probalby still a chance. I'd bet that they'll eat hermits, shrimp, etc.

Mine would eat the shrimp and any invertebrates.
It left my soft and lps corals alone. No idea on SPS as I did not have any at the time. Lots and lots of personality, but had the clean the glass a bit more since it snacked on hermits and snails.

Urchins? Conchs? Large hermit crabs?

Mine would hunt hermits.
Did not have conchs or urchins at the time. Even these mini puffers have teeth, so they can really crunch down on things when they want to.
