No one ever does a tank destruction thread...

... mainly because they're too freaking depressing for words.

After day 1:

After day 2:

After day 3:

Tanks are for putting stuff into, not taking stuff out of.

Oh, we have to pull our furnace and to do that we have to have the asbestos people out. Since we're doing all that, now seems like the time to do some renovations since we'll be out anyway. So, we're moving. The critters are going into storage in a couple of 100 gal. feed troughs for a year or so. Top-down views just aren't the same. Hopefully, this can become the beginning of a "build of something awesome" thread. Still waiting to hear from the city about how crazy we can go, though.

Sorry, just bummed about the tank tonight. I guess a night of staring at a wasteland is really getting to me. Ah, needed to get rid of all the damn bubble algae anyway.

Andy, i know EXACTLY how depressing it is to break down a tank . Good luck to you and your critters for the next year or so. IF you need anything at all, you know how to get ahold of me.

I feel for you. I had to sell off my livestock when we moved to Colorado in October. There is a consolation, you CAN build it better. I really like the tank now better than when it had been up for 2 years.

Thanks, Thurge! I can promise you, better QTing next time. I will put nothing in the tank 'til it has proved itself aiptasia-, bryopsis-, and valonia-free.
