A coral recruit!
I found this on the front glass tonight!

Is it hot pink? I found a frag in the refugium that has long tentacles & is pink. I have no idea what it is or how it got here. I'm just waiting for it to grow so I can get it identified.

Nope. It's just white right now. Good luck with your baby! Remember, they've gotta eat!
It does, however, glow green: And at 200%:

It looks to me like some form of rock anemone or aptasia.

It may be. I can't see it well enough from the back to tell, really. I suppose that if it never calcifies then we'll know. If it is an aiptasia, I fear that it will have a tragically short life. But, it is above five species of non-photosynthetic corals (three tubastrea, a dendrophillia, and a duncanopsamia) that also share that same basic shape. So, it'll be interesting to see where it goes.

I managed to get a shot of it down the length of the tank. Sorry about the quality, but it was ~2 feet away.

Nice guess, but I think that's an artifact from taking the picture from so far away. I'm much more inclined to go with the nuisance anemone thing. I've cleaned the glass around this thing, so it's easy to see that it hasn't moved at all in the last four days. Also, I believe that I can see the dots of nematocysts under the loupe. But it doesn't seem to be calcifying at all, so probably an anemone.
