150w MH good enough?

I've been fiddling with more ideas then I know what to do with and I was wondering if a 150W will cover a tank that is 27.5"x22"x12"? I will have all the high demand corals under the light and some lower demand around the edges?

would work great for that application, given the proper reflector/housing.

I'm going to use the Solana brushed disco ball light. It's got nothing but great reviews. Plus it will look good.(big time factor as this will be in my living room)

I personally ran a 150w hqi with compact flourescent supplements, & my sps did fine. My tank dimensions were about the same as yours (29 gal). The best reason is that the 150 allows the freedom to stock many more types of corals(softies, lps, zoas) which would normally be bleached or killed by the intense lighting given to normal sps dominated tanks.

I run a 150 SE Iwasaki 50k on my 40G stretch hex, and I have montipora growing like crazy, clams, and acros. LPS and stuff around the edges does well too.
