I wish..

I wish all of you guys and gals that participate in the SLASH forum would just settle down and try not to antagonize the moderators. Even if you thread gets lock or deleted they found it to be against their rules.

There is a separate feedback forum where you can ask a moderator as to why-but it seems senseless to keep poking them in the side.

RC is a great place for knowledge, I would go as far as to say the best!
By getting yourself banned all you are doing is
1.taking away a lot of valuable knowledge that you wont be able to get.
2. More importantly, you are not there to help any local newbies or experienced members that might have a problem, because you wanted to poke at them. There is a time to joke around and trying to do so by antagonizing a mod, probably is not the best time. JMHO

Sure we can all converse and discuss on the SLASH site but where do you think google will take some new reefer in STL whom has a question?? RC! not the SLASH site.

RC gives our group, basically free advertising, by letting us have this/our own forum

Good luck to every one this holiday season, but go have a sip of egg nog because I would still like to see everyone remain.

Griss hides and Nook scares me.

We need less drama and more full tank shots and a couple braindead blondes always works.

Well said Phil!

I have to agree that antagonizing is futile and senseless at best.

Griss who?

Phil...I can't wait, your tank has always been an inspiration. So much in fact the 58 I set up last weekend will be all softies.

Plumbing will most likely take place this weekend, along with mounting the reflectors. I will have a tank up and running in very near future.

LOL...you'll still beat Nook.

I spent all weekend plumbing, wiring, laying sand and aquascaping. Filled it with water and salt Sunday and am cycling with a pair of Dalmation Mollies.

It wasn't opened, posted to and then closed. Mods have the ability to post to closed threads. That's what happened in this case.

While we understand this user name was probably set up with humor in mind, it is against the User Agreement to have more than one User Name here. When we found that this was the second account of a member, the second account was closed. If we make exceptions to the rules, everyone believes they should also be an exception. We've learned this from many past experiences.

Actually, that's not the case. The Mods and Admins here are all volunteers. We don't enjoy getting into these situations with members. The fact of the matter is, we have a job to do here...uphold the user agreement. If someone doesn't like the rules on RC, they don't have to be a member or post here. But, occassionally, we have a member who doesn't like the rules and seems to stir the pot whenever they get the chance. Believe me, we don't like having to deal with this kind of stuff, but it is part of our job here.

Personally I try to poke them when they aren't looking, but I always get caught!!!

Personalities do play a part, and sometimes someone's sense of humor just doesn't come through over the computer, ya know? That is one reason you have to try and just be mature about it, and remember the rules are supposed to be the same for everyone.
