DrsFoster&Smith spam warning.

I recently signed up on the above site to be notified when 'out of stock' items are 'in stock', and tonight I received two garbage emails that have nothing to do with what I signed up for from them. I can't stand solicitations of any type so I'm just giving everybody a heads-up.

How are you certain that the spam was generated due to visiting the Drs.? Did you generate a site specific email address to receive just from them?

If they are out of a certain item you leave your email and they contact you when the item is in stock. That is the only way for them to have my email, and I've never received spam from them prior to me giving them this info.

What are you calling "spam" If it is info from the DRs FS there is a box you can check under your account to not recieve mail on cats, dogs, birds, etc, etc.

Spam... So you are getting emails that have NO RELATION to the DR's? OR are you getting emails from them regarding specials/newsletters etc...

There is SPAM and then there is the stuff you sign up for. Which is it?

The latter, which is NOT what I signed up for, which makes it unsolicited or spam.

criccio, sometimes you have to be careful and read ALL of the small print. A lot of places will send you "extra" stuff unless you find their hidden little box and check it saying that you do not want the "extras". Sad but true. Seems you have to be specific as to what you don't want from places rather than what you actually want.
