Need some quick help! Little brown worm like things...

I just bought a Xenia... and noticed little wriggling brown short worms.. around 1 mm wide and 3 mm long... they were crawling all over the oyster shell it came in...

please let me know if I should take my xenia out of my tank so that these worms do not get into my tank.. are they harmful..

Thanks!!

Picture isn't turning out.. Too blurry... ahhhh.

They are 1mm wide, 2-3 mm long, semi clear, brown, coming out of the holes of the oyster shell...

At first I thought it was an "arm" off one of the Xenia branches...

Called pet store.. they said they can't be pest because they didn't come on an anything live.. said its just a detrius eating worm...

I understand your frustration, but your describtion could be almost anything.
Try out this link, http://www.rshimek.com/animal_identifications1.htm
See if you can find what you are describing.

One of the most common pest is flat worm called red planaria.
That would be my first very wild guess.

Though it look like yellow transparent in the picture, usually looks transparent brown with tiny red dot.
