Central Texas will still be in the low 100's next week...

Late September should be good around here - that'll put the max temp's around the mid-to-low 90's and averages in the high 70's.

could some one remind me if there was a size(amount) that we were to trade? I bought some from a guy last week and recieved Tues. they opened nice but were tiny! I think I would be disapointed if I recived something like that. I bought 4 different zoas from a couple locally and the are good sized and I just thought that from pictures I have seen posted and and what I have bought in the past that tiny ones would not be fair in a traded, I am I right?

Newbe loving it: were the polyps you got baby polyps, or just tiny? I have seen some zoos that are no bigger than an M&M -full grown. some are big, some are little, all are nice! (IMO)

I guess size matters for Newbe. I find that the small polyps cluster nicely together making a nice tight mat.

Well minibow, what I recieved were tiny (maybe babies, most likely) were maroon skirt, purple with green mouths and in searches I have not found out what they were. They are very tiny and very cute so I should be happy, which I am, was just surprised I guess
Also MBentley, Size does matter, most of the time...
I know I will send out nice stuff, it is not fun being disappointed, and I agree with stixbaraca, Pictures!! I'm excited to see what every one has been recieving!!

Well, this is a story of why we should keep doing these trades.
My frags from Dav were sent to the wrong address, we both were at fault for bad communication.
My wife picked the frags up today at the local store they were shipped to. All four were open when I got home from work. Seven days in transit and no problems!
Wild zo's would never do this. Aquaculture and trading is the way to go. I don't buy anything I know is not growing or recently "wild"

I will just say Wow. I am very surprised they made it. I know better next time to e-mail a confirmation Address just in case.
Ahenson, Glad to hear they made it. I feel sure when they get settled in the colors will brighten up. I hope you were as pleased as I was with the trade.

Here is what I recieved from Ahenson.

Next is what I got from Brownchevy
We traded two rocks but one of my fish decide to
pick the other rock so bad it has almost killed it. Must have been a nice color. They always like to eat the prurdy ones.

Thank you Scribe for a great trade, I will surely join again when you do a thermos trade .

Aw man that sucks. Dav, I can't see the pics as my work has blocked photobucket. If you let me know which ones you have that survived, I can try and send you another frag of the ones that got ate. But you better take good care of them.

No worries on my part. Let's me and you plan to do one more trade before the real cold weather starts up. Maybe Oct. I will have some nice frags ready by then anyway. The frag that made it was sort of purple with green skirt. Huge poylps.
I glued them to a nice sized rock. The other was a huge mat but did not make it from being eaten.
Dav
I will PM you when we get closer to time to trade again. How are the frags I sent looking?
Dav

They are doing good and opening up fine. I've got a couple of frags that keep getting knocekd off so things are getting mixed up a bit as to what came from who. I know of one that you did send red/blue and it's doing good.

I'll look at my list and see what all I sent you to try and determine which ones got ate.

I've got a few nice frags from a different trade than this one that I'm waiting for them to grow out. Should be nice once they do and will make a good trade. Let me know when you want to trade again.

I have been reading this thread for a while now. I was wondering if there is still a way to get into the chain or when do you all think you will be doing another one? I think this is the best idea that I have ever seen on RC. It's great that everyone sent something good and didn't try to come out ahead. If I can't be in on this one I would very much like to be in the next
