not sure what you mean by offline- is that like as in a store near you? if you mean by mailorder then yes- it is safe. just use some care in deciding which vendor to use- some are reputable and some are definitely not.

Take your time, shop around. One thing I will suggest is purchasing the olympus extended warranty. This could be purchased from any Olympus dealer or you can find it at a savings on eBay.

Good Luck

I just got the new Canon EOS 300D, I love it so far, I was going to get the Nikon D100 or the Canon 10D, but I chose this one over the others, and for the $600-$800 difference, i dont see it being worth it. Just my 2 cents, if anyone else has this camera, pm me or post, and tell me what you think about yours.

I hope you are aware the 300D is the gray market or European version of the digital Rebel. I am a Canon dealer and I know that Canon USA will not honor the warranty. They will simply tell you to return it to the country where it was purchased. Gray market merchandise is common problem amoung mail order retailers and a real problem since import fees were not paid on these products. This is the reason Canon USA won't honor the warranty. Just thought this info might be of help.

well i bought mine from a camera shop here in Indiana, it doesnt say 300D just Canon Rebel. no 300D is on the camera, Most people know it as the 300D not just canon rebel. thanks for the info, but i only buy cameras at local camera shops, too many gray market dealers out there. Thanks for the info again.

Looking to get DCAM

Well this is the skinny so far. We are considering a Kodak easy Share DX 7590, 2576 x 1932 5mp 10xOptical/3x Zoom No manual white balance but allows for may white balance presets. Is anyone using these for reef shots.

hi daddavis1-
you will probably get more responses if you start a thread for that question
