It looks like a lettered olive (Oliva sayana), which is very common in the Atlantic ocean, but is certainly an olive of some species. They are carninvores but I don't know how well they do in the home aquarium.

However, I'd caution you not to handle any unknown snails. You could end up dead if it's a cone snail you're handling. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cone_snail
