Anyone have a 4 side viewable tank?

I would love to design a tank that has four viewable sides. Does anyone have a link, pictures of their tank, or designs on how to do this?

I used to work for a store that maintaned one. It was viewable form all for sides with the overflow foursided directly in the middle of the tank. All of the wiring was run through a seperate chamber inside the over flow. It was pretty nice. I believe the tank is down now.

Technically...Yes...but I doubt it is quite what you are looking for. It's mainly two sided, but there is also the backside view from the fishroom and the opposite wall view from both the front and the back.

Here's the best shot I've got that shows the multiple viewing sides.... As the tank has matured, the plumbing that you can see has now been blocked by coraline.

One of my favorite tanks of all time

I think this is the most stunning display I've ever layed eyes on. I always thought my most true love would be for an sps tank, but my god these softies look amazing.

Check out the lighting, 400watt Halides, three of them placed strategically around the tank. Saw this tank in one of my magazine subscriptions, which for the sake of RC I guess I probably outta not disclose.

Like said above. The tank will have to be custom ordered with a center overflow and returns. My LFS has a 650 Gallon that is this way. The only hard part about it is trying to aquascape around the center to hide the overflow(s).
Or you can get a Zero Edge aquarium, those are awesome, but if you have cats, dont do it.

There is a tank at my LFS (In Living Color in Marlton NJ) that the water flows over all 4 sides. No overflow boxes and it is very large
maybe 4x6 by 2ft. high. Looks like a small lagoon.

Are the zero edge aquariums made out of acrylic? They look pretty sweet.

It's small but you can probably scale up some of the concepts which Ninja fish has used...

Or, check out the Zero Edge tanks...

Or the DIY "zero edge" tanks...

The Fish Store & More in Buckhead, GA, had an awesome, cylinder style with 360 viewing. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on who's opinion you're asking), FS&M is no longer open, and I hear the tank has been torn down. Whatever happened to it, I don't know, but I do hope someone with the space and time to make it an awesome set-up again has it up and running again.

I have my 185 which is an island overflow. It sits in an open area and is 360 degree viewable. It acts as a room divider between the family room and the kitchen and breakfast area.

You are going to need to bring power to your canopy somehow. Since I have 16 foot ceilings, dropping it down from above was not an aestetic option. So I have a bulkhead and PVC acting as conduit for an electric line to bring the power up.

You will also want to think about lighting and placement as the oveflow in the middle does not need light on top of it and the areas on either side can be somewhat shaded. You may want to put MH lighting on each end and short T-5 lighting on either side of the island overflow.

Dont have a picture handy, sorry. But willing to answer questions if you have more.
