gluing acrylic to wood

Any recommendations on a good glue to attach acrylic to pine? I'm putting together a splash guard for my lights. There are of course other ways I could do this if gluing these two materials is not viable, but I was curious.

Weld-On #810 would work, but it's not cheap when you could just drill and screw it with a couple of stainless screws.

Screws. . .novel idea! I think we have a winner there. That would also make it easy if I wanted to change out just the wood or acrylic. . .it's always the obvious things that elude me. Thanks.

Or router a notch around the outer edge so the guard can just be slid into place
