i have very few. just a 6-8" hammer, a frogspawn with about 8 branches and the branches have more than one head, a branched hammer, mushrooms, and a soft leather. not much. i actually wanted to start some sps along with acan and ricordias but i'm moving soon so i'm just waiting patiently till after i set up a new tank. your tank is so inspiring. thanks for all the pics.

John, that's how I started off. I bought my first colony of sticks from a fellow reefer, the darn thing died as soon as I moved it to a new tank. I stopped buying them after that. Ricordias are coool, I like the Florida the most, but when I order them online, the only thing I ended up with are the orange with purple rim. So I stopped. Now I just grow what I have, no time to go out buying anymore stuff. My next purchase might be some really cool Blasto morph. If you plan on getting more stuff, save your money for the good stuff first.

buy what? Most of the rics are online, etropicals.com, blasto are either from a couple of the LFS around here. Most of what you see are from the store. I had a couple stuff from a reefer who tore down his 300 gallons tank. Nope, no selling frags for me.

LFS

Some of the LFS that I go to are.

Pacific Reef, Reef Collection, Fish Collection and maybe Tongs. I haven't gone shopping in a while. Most of the good pieces, like the Acan and stuff were through trades with a couple cool reefer here. Some of the Acan pieces were given to me from my bro in VA for safe keeping cause he's too lazy to feed them.

I usually tries to stick with the friends I've made to get the good ones cause those are settled in the tank already.

waterfaller1,

That fish is cool, my buddy had one of those, the red is really really nice. That maze in the back, have you ever seen it with the tentacles out all the time? There was one at the LFS here that just had its tentacles out everytime I've been there, I wanted to get it, but I didn't want to buy any more stuff cause at that time, I had huge rocks left in the tank.

Hey, put a pix of that Acan here, in a few weeks, you'll come back and post that single polyp with babies surrounding it. Keep on feeding it. I heard a lot of the folks here feed them a variety of food, but it seems that they all agrees on Mysis. I just feed mine with chopped shrimp. I try to feed them every other day. I have only 3 fishes in the tank, so I'm not worried about the bio load as my skimmer works overtime to clean the tank. So I like feeding time a lot. The Micromussa I have seems to be a slow grower. But that's OK, others have pretty good growth with theirs. Maybe it'll take off someday.

Here's feeding time.

Amy, the best part about being self employed is that you're not un-employed.

Pull out that camera girl, give me something to drool on.

I haven't use a dremel in almost a year. I get nervous everytime I hear that thing. I cut my fingers a couple times. Got a few scars to prove it too.

OK, how about another picture. I don't know what I'm doing or the light I use. Some of my acan are having pink colors in them, which they didn't have originally. This one is my fastest grower among all the other.

A close up of the rics, looks like the green Yuma has moved off the rocks and onto the sandbed now. The blue rics on the bottom right corner have a really nice pink mouth.

The polyps on this thing is just huge, it is as big as the lord. In about a week, this piece has put out about 4 more babies and the rest of the babies are the size of a dime now.
