Whoa.......that's quite a few hermit crabs.

wow, that is alot of hermits. For reference, I have 5 in my 75g. And plan on adding no more to that tank, that's plenty for me.

pretty much all hermits are the same. opportunistic. i used to have a few but they did not mind ripping the food i just fed to my coral right out of their polyps. that was the end of my thinking even the small hermits are reef safe.

IMO, get rid of them all. only get hermits if you really really like their color patterns. there are many other creatures that do the job of ther hermit crab so much better and faster and with less possibility of them damaging things you really like.

So....really I would guess the hermits don't have anything to do with the cloudy water. Most likely it's something you fed them or water parameters. What do you have for filtration?

Grrrrrrr crabs. The number one enemy of small polyps and snails.

Why do these places continue to put them into these insane clean up packages?????????????????

Don't worry about how many hermits you have. They'll start killing each other until they're down to about 5 anyway. As for the cloudiness .. It could just be the hermits/fish kicking up your sand. When you disturb your sand does it give off 'silt' ..??
