If you ever want to consider, I have about 15-25 of those 'medium' size white/red feather dusters in my fuge and I need to clean some out. If you're interested in maybe like a thermos trade, I'd love to have some of the macros!

Do you have some photos of the feather dusters? I might be interested.

I just bought 3 mangrove seed pods from a guy in Florida off of ebay. Total was $6.25 including shipping. I figured for that price I might as well try them.

I keep about 160+ mangroves in my sump in a kind of wall, the root structure are a factory for pods and also trap excess bubbles from the skimmer.

this is an old picture, I also removed some in there cauz it was way too crowded ( like 220 mangroves ).. its 12"l x 36"L x 8"h
works great, they now all have leaves. only thing to really do is prune the dead leaves before they fall into the water and I mist them daily with RODI water to remove the saltscreep and salt on leaves.

love it, water changes in water once a month, and the water is just as clear ( almost blue ) as when it was put in. I still don't know why i do water changes other then renew trace elements...lol

Looking good! It might get a bit tough when they grow as you'll have to cut the eggcrate out from in between each tree, but overall i like the design. Nice job.

What are the dimensions of the tank? I am thinking about using an Oceanic 33g (20x18x21") for a similar setup.

Axia55, the tank is 24Lx18Wx18H which is around 35 gallons of total volume.
