WTT: Live Phytoplankton

I have 4 500 ml. bottles I am willing to trade for coral frags or equipment.

I am in Florida, so i would prefer to trade with someone in the SouthEast due to shipping, which will be via Priority Mail Flat Rate box ( around $8.50).

Phyto has 3 strains of microalgae: Nanochloropsus, Tetraselmis and Isocrysis.

Photos upon request, I am unsure how to post.

Another update: I now have some more available for trade for livestock or equipment.

I am located in Florida, so preferably trading with someone within 1,000 miles or so to make itmworthwhile without being hit bad with overnight shipping.

USPS Priority would have to do both ways.

OK, once again, all of it is gone. I will ahve more to ship on Monday Aug 20th.

4.99/ 500mL or wiling to trade for coral frags, drygoods or livestock - even macroalgaes for my newly setup Seahorse tank.

Shipping is USPS Priority. $4.55 for 500mL, $8.55 for anything over that up to 3L.

Thanks for all those who ordered and hope you received it already and have dosed already.

Remember to keep it in the fridge if not using it all, and to shake once every 5 days or so.

Alright: the new batch is ready. I have about 4L to get rid of and am keeping the same amount for myself to dose into the tanks for the next 7-8 days.

Each one of the 500mL bottles sells for $4.99 + USPS Priority Mail shipping ( pricing above).

Those of you who sent me PM, yours is ready and is shipping on Monday to ensure arrival mid-week.

Those of you who PM'ed and wanted some from the last batch but were left out, this is the time to grab ahold of this awesome tank food.

PM me and we will work out a sweet deal like I have with lots of others here on ReefCentral.

Plankton plays a crucial role in the marine lifecycle.

Plant plankton (phytoplankton) is eaten by tiny animal plankton (zooplankton), and by other organisms, then feed on predators higher up the marine food chain.

The primary reason to use phytoplankton with stony corals, is to increase the population of zooplankton for the corals to prey on.

By feeding phyto, you feed your entire tank.

Feather duster worms, scallops, clams, and gorgonians with small polyps are perfect examples of reef inhabitants that require this nutrition for survival and growth. Copepods also respond well to feeding of phytoplankton in the home aquarium.

If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Ciao,

Felipe
