Toadstool mushroom,...need advice.

I have a large Toadstool mustroom i purchased localy about a month ago.

it was under a 150 halide but underneathe a frag rack so it wasn't in direct light.

i have 10k CF's right now and have had the mushroom up near the top of the tank scince i bought it.

The problem is,.. it will fully open up and have full polyp extention for about 2-3 days then it will completely close up and encase its self in a gel like slime,..then another 2-3 days will pass and it'll open back up for a few days.

this cycle has repeated itself scince i've bought it.

does it simply need more light ?

all water param's check out good.

Its just growing. It should be fine as long as its polyps come out.
