micro bubbles?

can someone explain micro bubbles to me--it seems to be something no-one wants. I don't know what they are and how to remove them

They usually come from skimmers or from water agitation. There are ways such as sponges or bubble traps used to get rid of the bubbles. Sometimes, something as simple as repositioning the skimmer makes a difference.

The trick is to find the source of the bubbles and then deal with it. Every system is different so it is up to you to figure out the source so we can help you fix it.

IMO
Microbubbles are more of a visual issue. I don't think their is any real issues that they cause.

I believe the 3 major causes are:
1. Pump might be restricted and the water is cavitating causing the creation of the bubbles
2. Bubbles created in sump/refugium getting trapped and sent back to display
3. Plumbing has a leak somewhere pulling in air
