I think these fish are as described, Simply Amazing! I bet these fish will only look better when/if the black fills in. I love the ones with the little spots or half moons in front of the eye! I think that is the coolest thing!

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that they will indeed look even more amazing when the black fills in.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I am not aware of any areas that percs and occ. overlap. If that is true and they are wild caught there can't be any occ. in them.

I agree with LargeAngels ... I dont think its possible to have a hybrid if they are both WC parents.

These are amazing offspring. It looks like a BUNCH of them have picasso marking too... are they all picasso? whats the ratio of picasso to normal offspring?

I missed that they were collected in the Solomon's. Then they can't have any occ. in them.

Jov,
only about 30 out of the first two spawnings were these type. So about 30% being that there were only around 100 that made it through meta.

Wow, 30 are some pretty good numbers. I'm amazed your offspring have such amazing patterns when the parents dont. I'd say you've got a fish there that has incredably strong white gene's.

haha you know I love your female, I was jelous of her when you posted her on the rod's onyx thread... I should have clairified "when the female's patterns beautiful patterns look nothing like the extravagant patterns on the babies"

I remember ORA saying their picasso's only made up about 1% of their offspring, where you are getting 29% MORE.

Mind if I ask you for your rearing details?

ok lets make this clear. bones. first please do not post private discussions for me. i can do that myself. and if you do, ask my permission first.

based on your premise that they are the parents, i believe there must be some osc blood there. bec everything i know and understand as a breeder tells me they are NOT the parents.
but im putting your honor in saying that they are indeed the parents at stake and trying to make sense of it bec it does not make sense to me otherwise.

the point is that, either way the babies are nice looking period. so unless you plan to breed with them who really cares where the parents are from............

good questions jov. bones, please post some pics of the breeding process. i would be interested also. im sure you must have babies from diff stages.

sometimes we get hung up too much in names etc etc. just appreciate the clowns for what they are. nice looking fish period........

Those babies have some awsome patterns. I too would be interested in your breeding setup.

Are you planning on selling these? Or do you plan on breeding them in future breeding projects?

Thanks.
It is unfortunate folks continue to discuss trades and sales in the discussion areas.

While many of the important details, i.e. potential impacts creating the unusual color pattern, examples of the more typical fry, etc., have yet to be posted this thread must be closed or pulled.

Reef Central does not allow sales, trades, or the negotiation of such in the discussion forums.

Bones, Send me a PM some time and we'll see if we can come up with some manner to document your success within the rules.

Thanks.
