If you worry about the rust, take it out and put on a dab of silicon on it

would you need two magnets or could you use one of the 60# magnets with a piece of metal on the outside of the tank? (100 gallon glass)

Has anyone tried to change the props on the hydors yet? That pump seems like you could get much more flow out of it.

So you can only get the GS2's directly from the manufacturer?

Yes, you do get more flow but its not worth it. Get the Sureflow its alot smaller and put out much more flow

Wholly Crap...
This thread has nearly exceeded 23 page's! (?) lol...
So to pitch in my $.02, I installed (2) new MJ 1200's with Sure Flow 1600 upgrade's into my display and I LOVE THEM : ) (so does the tank...) No noticable noise - awesome flow!

I been using both 2 Sure Flow 1600 and 2 GS2 from triton aquatics (the older version) in a 180 love the flow on both but the high flow of the GS2 is definitely stronger 2000+ gph for sure, the new version of the GS2 supposed to be even better
have them all in MJ 1200 and mod same propellers on all of them
No noise yet - great flow !!!

dhnguyen thanks for the info 8)

Been using the Sureflows with the upgraded white impellers now for a week and they are still quite. Major improvement over the standard ones that came in the kit on a MJ1200. Great flow and since I moved my aiming the sand sits still more now.
I like the Sureflow models and I`m sure any of the kits that offer more flow will be a major improvement over the stock MJ flow.

how low in the tank are you sureflows? i havent gotten to place magnets on them to move them any lower. im still fighting the vortex and air bubbles shooting throughout my tank, its worse now with the 2000 gph props on, but the flow is super great!

i ordered the GS II last week and yesterday i got an email from them saying the new brackets we have been waiting for aren't correct, but they are sending out the kits with the old bracket and will replace it when the new one gets corrected. I'm very anxious to try out this product.
