The tank is looking outstanding. I want a slimer.

Thank you everyone for your kind words.

Mike, if you move down here, you are welcome to a frag of the slimer--once it grows.

I thought this movie was appropriate for today: Seahorse Hug

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentines Day!

Kayla

PS - The 46g pic I promised

(finally fixed the black background...now I need to clean it!)

And just another pic of my new clam

LOL thanks guys! I used the AWB (Auto White Balance) mode on my camera; it removes the blue, yet keeps the corals' true flourescing colors...a perfect combo IMHO. You do have to manually program the degree of color balance on my camera, but it may be fully automatic on others. Just play around with your camera's settings; you may be surprised by the different combinations. HTH

Mandarin

Midas Blenny...I moved her from the 46g because my female clown beat her up. She is finally eating again and recovering. (Note the "bruises" on her sides--proof that even Skunk Clownfish can be MEAN!)

Tank Pic

I have definitely decided to start planning out the sump. Considering how much the tank is fed (up to three cubes of mysid shrimp in only one day), I am surprised the water quality is still good, and I am fearful of a crash in the future. If I could hook up a 20 or 30 gal sump, I think the extra gallons would really benefit the tank. I also plan to partition the sump and include a fuge for growing macro algae, since it really seemed to help the 46. The rest could hold another heater, filtration media (carbon, purigen), and possibly a skimmer. Water changes would become a breeze as well!

Have a good day everyone, and please enjoy your holiday tomorrow!

Kayla

For now, only Purigen and Carbon (in an Aquaclear Mini--very little flow from the output). Frequent water changes have also been a key factor. I do hope to get the new Aqua C nano skimmer once it's available, which would run in the (hopefully soon to be) sump. So many plans, so little time!

I have a few more pics. Nothing special, but I must live up to my reputation as a member of Picaholics Anonymous. Please excuse the poor quality--camera wasn't behaving this round.
