LOL, yes very true Landon. This hobby often seems like a mixed blessing at times, but it is so worth it IMO.

Well, in an attempt to preserve my sanity, I'm taking a brief brake from homework to post a video of my clownfish...request from Amy. Skunks in Their LTA (Thanks again for hooking me up Mike)

Have a great evening everyone and enjoy Superbowl XXXIX!

Kayla

Woo Hoo! I love it, Josh! It's a different, but NICE look. Your SHs will really like the many hitching spots on the rock.

Thanks!
Yep! well that was the idea, a little diff, and great hitching places. Also its a bit easier to have the water movement through the structure.

I'm so sorry for the delay...I've been exceedingly busy with school as of late, and I have had barely enough time to get everything that I need to done at a decent hour. By the time I have a chance to really work on the tanks, all lights have long since gone out (hence the lack of pictures). BUT, tomorrow's work load should ease up a bit, so I hope to give you a big update very soon.

I will tell you this: many new..."items"...have been added to the tank(s) since the last update; I scored big time at a reef club meeting Tuesday night.

Have a good one,
Kayla

Same here...can't wait to see the new goodies

And no worries about being busy! Lord knows I know the feeling...I'm actually getting a short respite between my job and grad school currently with my one class wrapping up three days early. I haven't had this much free time in over a year and a half! Don't quite know what to do with myself...well, save for catching up on a bunch of reading here on RC and pulling heavy maintenance on my tanks that is!

Just be sure to keep your sanity!

FINALLY...I have some pics! I am so sorry for the delay; I will make it up to you by posting more photos than you could ever want

First...the SH tank of course! Two tank pics (one with full lighting, the other with actinics only and my experimentation with the AWB camera mode)

More misc shots

Now...the horses:

I was recently informed that oftentimes H. Erectus horses lose their cirri as they mature, and I have now found this to be the case--atleast for my horses. Oh well, it also means they are growing up, which is a good thing.

Female (her lack of cirri is apparent in this pic)

Male

More (I WILL make it up to you!)

Neon Sinularia (from a local friend). This coral is SO cool--I cannot capture its true color with my camera, but it's simply amazing.

Even more to come...

Ok, the newest addition to this tank...a mandarin! Now, before you fret, he (note the dorsal fin) is eating frozen foods well. I made sure of this before taking him home from my LFS. He's been there for awhile now too, so I felt confident in adding him to the tank. Since his arrival, the tank has been wiped clean of all leftover frozen foods that once sat on the bottom of the tank.

The newest addition to my 46g...a derasa clam! Now that I am 110% sure Wormzilla is gone for good, I felt it necessary to celebrate with this guy...too bad I can't bring back my maxima.

YWG...just becase

STILL more coming...

New Bali Slimer

I'm still not sure what this SPS is...I need to get an ID sometime

For Josh

Small green Acro frag (sorry about the tiny pic, but zooming blurs the shot)

Phew, ok that's all for now. I hope they make up for lost time.

Have a good weekend,
Kayla
