killing sponges

how much air exposure time should it take?

i have some encroaching on some palys that i would like to eradicate...

Not all sponges are sensitive to air exposure. The ones that hitchhike in generally aren't. For species that are, letting them sit out for 10 minutes or so would ensure they die without hurting the zoas.

hmm,

worth a shot...

scraping it off hasnt worked... id say mostly cause its a sponge...
