noisy sequence pump
Hi,
I have just finished plumbing my new sequence pump into my closed loop running an oceans motions 4 way, started running the pump on a tap water run to test for leaks, got a slight vibration hum. Had a small leak in the pump screw fitting so i removed the pump fixed the leak and tested again. Ran for a couple of hours all was ok, so i drained the system, and took pump off and drained the closed loop to remove tap water. I then filled the system with R/O and added salt, since doing this the pump is making a loud ticking/clicking sound. Any ideas what may be causing this? What is the best way to fix the problem? Its quite unbearable with the tank and pump in the lounge |

HMMM, sounds like you might have sucked something into your pump. Also check the black washer on the shaft, make sure it is not rubbing on anything. I have that setup & it is whisper quiet. Best way to go IMO.

let it run for about three days, these pumps take time to break in properly.

Check to make sure the cover on the fan isn't rubbing. I had the same problem and sequence sent me a new cover.

Sequence has a forum in the vendor section now.
