as i read this thread i was supriesed, that not many have feed it, bananna - broccoli- any kind of salat or fruits is nothing new, i have feed it many times over years with great result, just try it you will see it works good just watch how much you give and dont over feed, specialy bananna only a small pice, i would start with a small pice of salat to see what fish will eat it and go from there

i dont know if this has been covered yet but SEACHEM makes a product called ENTICE that is helps fishes eat like Garlic extreme by kent. any way Entice is basicly bananna extracts so i would assume if you soak your food in bananna juice and feed that food to the fish than you can feed your fish bananna's. BUT i would reccomend againsed it just because of the likelyhood of adding something othere than just pure bananna ie chemicals pesticides soaps into the tank.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

LOL

ahem.. that was like 100 or 150 years ago ;-)

I dont like the idea of bananas and other fruits ( and I hate people that feed brocolli and lettuce to their marine fish, just because tangs are vegetarian and that is a vegetal and green ... grrrrrrrr ) - they have natural sugars and as far I'm seeing, I see no sugars in any marine food element.. or at least with sugar concentrations so high as found in a banana or grape.

I give lemon juice and garlic to my fish : not because its new, not because its funny, but because it's good for them : a healty and natural source of vitamin C and imuno boosters.

But from a banana ? why ? what are the special proprierties that a banana have and our fish could get the benefit from eating them ?
