Hey RocketEngineer - thanks, that was my intent. Can we say category 5 hurricane - I figured we could just strap ourselves to it and let it pass LOL!

Mike - the pocket system is Kreg and I got it here locally from a place called Jim&Slims. I purchased it first for a bookshelves (Wall unit) I was building - now I use it for everything. This would really come in handy for your cabinet/stand. Lowes/Home Depot don't carry it at all.

I think it really looks solid. Skinned with plywood it will also be quite handsome...

Very nice work, RA!

Thank you Token and yes I can't wait to get it skinned, painted and the tank in place. Speaking of the tank, I'll be traveling to Orlando on Friday and just got the word from GlassCages that I can pick the tank up between 10 and 2 on Saturday (Also in Orlando). I'm hoping to get the tank on the stand on the 21st of July!

Well I'm off to Orlando for a weekend of reefing. Hopefully I'll come back with a 280g tank! Next week I'll be firming up the stand and then putting the tank in its proper place.

Oh yes - it was great! The speakers were great:
Richard Harker - talked about large tanks (I learned a lot here)!

James Fatherree - Gave a leature on Clams and was also great. I then purchased his book and got it signed.

Sanjay Joshi - Spoke on LED lighting for the first time. This was very informative.

Julian Sprung - Spoke on Nano tanks and he also was a wonderful speaker.

This Tank is fabulous! It's just like the Zero Edge but it fits against the wall. The tank is 48" long, 11" deep at the widest point and 14" tall. The system came complete - Sump, pumps, skimmer, tank and stand! It's all acrylic and the stand is completely sealed with a very hard finish.

It was really funny because I had to find someone else to bring the stand home for me. Here I have a 280g tank in my big truck and then I win this wonderful tank. It's going to take some time before it's up and running but we are talking a beautiful tank with everything!

The sump and skimmer is made by Aquatic Life Systems. They make everything from the Tank to the sump. Everything is custom made by this company. The pump they throw in is a RIO and seems to be great for the size of tank. The only thing I need is the lights - which I already have (150MH with PCs) and it's 24" long. Little short with the lights but I could just have very low light corals on the far ends.

I can't wait to get this up and running - oh but I have this BIG tank in the back of my truck right now! OH - first things first .

Oh - it might not be to far from that. I was thinking about a coral grow out area. It would be perfect for it, right now I have these little frags all over my tanks and no way could have them in the 280. It would be so easy to check and watch their growth. I think I would still need a frag tank but - this would be sweeeeet!

Thanks everyone!

What I need to do this week:
First thing this week is to get my tiling in the living room done. I'm taking up all the tile that is laid now and we wanted to put a lighter colored tile down. So - get out the hammers break up the tile and lay new is first. Tonight I'll be going to Lowes and getting the 3/4 Styrofoam and plywood that is needed under the tank. I'll also need to pick up 1/4 plywood to seal the garage from the living room while I work on framing the book cases and the tank. To round the week out on Saturday I'll be putting the tank on the stand! This is a very big week for me!

Ok erics3000 - this is for you .

Thank you NCREEF69, I have a long ways to go but I think in the end it's going to be worth all the hard labor.

So far this week I was able to lay new tile under the tank, so that is finished. Let me tell you, trying to get old mortar off the floor is very time consuming! It's done but it took forever scraping it up.

Today we finished cutting and leveled out the stand (Changed tile so had to check and change a few things). After that we removed the drywall away from the area where the bookcases and the tank will be located. Then we used 1/4 plywood and insulated the back to seal the living room up again. Here's a few pictures so everyone can checkout our progress:

Here's my friend Stephen removing the drywall - Thank you Stephen! I couldn't have done this without his and his sons help. Thank you very much!

The wall has been removed and it's time for clean-up.

Here it is all boarded up and ready for Saturday! Between now and Saturday I'll finish with the stand, put the 3/4" plywood and 3/4" Styrofoam on the stand.
