Anybody know whats so special about the tamm wavemaker for sio pumps and why they now all of a sudden can be used on a "wavemaker"?

Traditional wavemakers start and stop the pump.

The Taam wavemaker for the seios slows and accelerates them, so they never start/stop, so theres little to no wear on the pump. This is only possible because the SEIOs have 4 pole motors instead of 2 pole motors like most powerheads.

Nice, I had heard it was suppose to happen. I have a 2600 on my tank and when the power flickers that thing sounds like it is going to explode. It cracks and pops way more than any other pump on the tank during startup.

Any idea of the SEIO's would be ok on the reefkeeper 2 controller? It says it runs a "soft start" or whatever that means. BTW I do know people that have run SEIO's on wavemakers long term. Like a year or more. But this new product sounds cool!
