Poukie, go on line and buy something for your tank. A "happy birthday to me" present. Make some hot tea, snuggle down with a good trashy novel, light a fire in the fireplace, and just relax all day. You'll feel better in no time.

I'm thankful that my husband has been putting up with my crappy and stressed out state over this stupid job search, and he still loves me!!!! I'm thankful that Christy reads all my long, boring PMs and still writes back (Dino too!). And I'm thankful that Scout always knows when I need a nuzzle/doggie kiss.

That's a lot to be thankful for, IMO.

Cheryl

Well the sun is shining, what more do I need. Dan's coming home tonight so I'll have to pretend like I've done something for the last few days.

Psssst...I always enjoy your pm's .

I most likely won't even get to see another person besides mom, dad, and brother today but I'll probably go out and pick out the burrs that the horse has picked up in the last couple days and comb him down and make him feel like a new horse .

I have too much to be thankful for to list here, friends (most of which I've never met in person ), family, animals, home, pretty much stress free life. I can't think of anything I'm not thankful for ( besides Monster ripping the screen out of TWO lizard tanks this week! I'm going to string him up by his toes!!!).

There is always a light at the end of the tunnel, you just have to look harder . Coworker didn't bring their dog today did they? See? There is one good thing.

BTW, happy late birthday! Heck, if I would have know it there would be a birthday thread for you .

I made a wonderful chocolate cake with my daughter today, with homemade chocolate icing to boot. We have a new (to us) car that won't cost my poor husband 22$ a day to get to work, coming to us this afternoon. I have a new pet catalogue to look through sometime this afternoon and generally speaking no complaints. (Except for the mounting piles of laundry!!)

I'm still hunting for the good day part of today....so far the yin and yang have made it mediocre: family troubles with my BIL, but had a good breakfast meeting today that resolved a personality work conflict I was having with one of my development partners. This was follow by a call from Mrs. VR very upset because the ENT doctor said her sinuses are fine and cannot find an explanation for her continued headaches and pain in her face in the sinus region...suspects that it might be related to her jaw and/or wisdom teeth but not certain and is referring her to her dentist. But this was followed by a miracle of finding funding for one of my key development projects that was short a considerable sum but now that we found funds will retain 175 jobs and create at least 20 to 35 more.

So I'll say it's a mediocre day, not good but not bad, and wish good tidings to all my fellow Lounge friends (and I do consider you friends) that you may all have a very grand weekend.

"Wishing you always...
Walls for the wind,
And a roof for the rain,
and tea beside the fire.
Laughter to cheer you,
And those you love near you,
And all that your heart might desire!"

Yeah, he's a good kid (well, young adult...he is 20 after all) but is having some troubles right now...keeps digging himself in deeper. Hopefully this lesson will straighten him out once it is all over but until then things have been a little rough these past few days.

OK, then buy yourself a new pair of shoes. That always puts me in a good mood. You can never have enough shoes!!!!!

(can you call in sick tomorrow and give yourself a long weekend?)

Something good happened to me today!

As you can see in my profile to the left there, I've returned to school. I just finished my first term and just got my grades in the mail.

I managed a 4.0 GPA!

Although I am only attending part time, I'm feeling pretty good about it.

Thank you O'Coralman for your wish on a "change o' luck". It's a little odd, I never thought I'd be "spilling my guts" on an online forum and then actually feeling a bit more optimistic with the best wishes of a group of people I have never actually met.
