The best critter for eating snail dung are spaghetti (terebellid) worms. They live to eat the stuff. They will colonize the sand and are great all around organic waste eaters. I wouldn't be without them.

Randy V - Where can I purchase some spaghetti worms? Is there an online site? Or would I be best off getting a cup of sand from someones tank who has a large poulation of them?
Garret - Thankyou very much for the complements on the 75 gallon. I just cleaned the front glass off and will geta nice clean photo. I was going to purchase a beautifull Gorgonian today but didn't... Hmm.... Hate it when that happens! yeah, the coraline is growing fast! Did you say you wanted pictures and set-up info for the freshwater 55 gallon? Or the 75 gallon reef??? Thanks for the advice everyone and the complements! Rock Anemone

I got mine online at Inland aquatics. Here is a link to the page:
http://www.inlandaquatics.com/prod/tr_invert.html You can certainly use sand from a tank that has spaghetti worms. You probably only need a few as they are extremely prolific. |
