6 line wrasse question

Will a 6 line wrasse eat my Nassarius Snails?

How about hermits?

Thanks in advance!

Unlikely. I have one, along with several crabs, nass. snails, etc and never had problems.

They are good reefsafe fish. I have one and don't bother anything.

if you have small ornamental shrimp be careful. my sixline has taken down some pretty good sized ghost shrimp.

Sixline wrasses are evil. You'll be sorry if you ever add one to your tank. There are lots of bad experiences with sixlines.
Don't believe me do a search.

6-Line = Devil Spawn.
Once you add a 6-line you can't add any non aggressive wrasses. They may be pieceful to other kinds of fish but when it comes to Wrasses they are uber aggressive.
Semi aggressive is a better discription of this wrasse.

Wow, never knew that about them. I guess I'm never adding other wrasses.

My six line was a long-term, model citizen in a smallish tank with seahorses, orchid dottyback, blennies, mandarin. Never bothered hermits or snails. But there were NO OTHER wrasses. This was a colorful, active, attractive, personable, long lived fish for this mix.

I've never tried keeping a six line with other wrasses, but based on the posts I've seen, I won't attempt it.

GOOD IDEA!!!! Had a sixline and thought wow what a peaceful little wrasse... never bothered a soul in my tank until i decided to be daring. I added a mystery wrasse that was twice the size of the sixline and the sixline joined forces with my rusty angel (also always peaceful) and destroyed my mystery wrasse!! I then had to break down the entire tank to catch the two criminals and bannish them from my reef forever! lol.
So if you decide to get a sixline dont ever plan to add another wrasse unless you have a REALLY LARGE tank!

They are fine w/ everything except the smallest of hermits and other wrasse.

I've watched mine tear a very small hermit to shreds the second I dropped it (the hermit) into the tank. Anything smaller than a medium sized blue leg/scarlet I wouldn't bother putting in the tank with him.

I've seen him take an exploratory nip at my Super Tongan Nassarius's Periscope thing.... But only once and he never bugged em again. He was probably just wondering *** was sticking out of the sand lol.
