Yet another Silicone question

I've been searching for the right silicone to use for sump baffles. I found a DAP brand that says it's food safe. I also found GE1 Kitchen & Bath at HomeDepot (UPC 77027 00712) that says on the front "cured sealant resists mold and mildew", but does not have the 'Bioguard' (or whatever the name is) logo on it, and also does not indicate any additives. Are they just describing the generic properties of cured silicone, or is this the stuff with the anti-mildew chemicals in it?

What would you guys do? Is the tube of GE1 alright? Or would you guys go with the DAP?

One thing you might want to look at closely too.....and I found this out LONG after I had already installed my baffles......is that most of the GE Silicon 1 tubes will say, in very small print, "not for use in underwater use or aquariums".......Im not sure which GE Silicon 1 it is, but there is one that does not have this warning. Not sure why it shouldnt be used in aquariums though, it doesnt have any added stuff for mold resistance?.....

I think it is just a liability issue, that you do not use it. They don't want the liability if a huge tank were to fall apart in someones house and that customer were to sue GE.

is there any difference between the clear silicone and the white? other than cosmetic?

I grabbed the GE1 100% SIlicone door and window without bio-guard but after checking all of that stuff I forgot to get it in clear... DUH...

but it's going behind a black panel so it'll never be seen anyway...
