would it be ok to place a reef next to a piano that is regularly played?

would the noise and vibrations effect to fish and corals a whole lot?

have you ever scuba dive? the noise under the water is defining. my tank was 2 feet away from my 350 watt subwoofer with no negative effects.

That's not the worst issue: the moisture and small amount of salt vapor from the reef tank wouldn't be good for the piano. Fish get the crashing surf all the time. But brass wire and fine wood isn't going to like salt creep.

That's what I was thinking, too. Also, heaven forbid you have a leak or spill - do you want to risk getting the piano wet? I think more harm would come to the piano than the tank in the long run.

In the best case, the piano will need frequent tuning. In the worst case, the wood will warp. No sound issue.

It will be fine if you play "under the sea"...............Other tunes may be upsetting to the fish and corals.

Do not place a reef tank next to any musical instrument that you value. Think about what it is constructed of, metal & wood. O.k. in the same room, but not ideal.

The humidity may affect the action on the keys, if you've ever played a piano that hasn't been plugged in for a while you'll know what I'm talking about.
