Started one but got sidetracked. It's a ten over ten. The sump was supposed to be a refugium and morphed into a caribbean biotope with flower anemones and a mantis shrimp.

Funny part is the stand is supposed to be a bathroom vanity, the top is cultured marble. Had to have it customed drilled for the drains and returns. The stand is highly modified. Bought it cheap at Lowes with busted up parts.

Thanks for the kind comments .............

We are just starting a 10 gal for the kids just got it set up today. We are using a marineland setup with a painguin biowheel filter and a Koralia heater. 12 LB of liverock and a 1-1.5 in argonite (sp) base. We are using a couple coralife compact flourescent 50/50 bulbs in the canopy. our SG at setup is 1.025/1.026 I will test the water after 3 or 4 days to see where we are at. We are setting this up for softies and a couple small fish I am looking for reccomendations of fish for this system not clowns we allready have them in our 31 gal in the livingroom. We want something out of the ordinary that will get along with the softies. We are also running a Koralia Nano for flow.

No it is going to be mostly softies and one maybe 2 gobies or something small along those lines. Why do you ask?

Return pump is a Maxijet 1200 with a Hydor for oscillating flow. Also have an aquaclear 300 with an ac 200 impeller for additional flow. It's about perfect for an LPS tank.

Additional sump pics are in the little red house.

Thanks for the interest.............

Here is my 10g. It's been going for about 6 months. It was my hospital tank! It has a 20" Current 80w PC fixture that came from my 44g when I put a 20" HQI on it.

You can see my next project in the last picture. I picked up a CPR AquaFuge hang on refugium with skimmer. This will add 3g to the system and provide a place to hide my heater.

Great looking tanks guys!

charleskeller what kind of clowns are those? What kind of light are you using and at what kelvin?

scaast what is that in the bottom right corner on the second pic? A BTA? Red, Pink? I thought you could only keep one anemone in a small tank?

suppressivefire what is that on the top of the second pic? It's green and red. How much for the 150w MH?

The softies ten with some excess growth removed and the DSB removed,

Still have the nepthea and additional zoas in the Q tank. Just waiting until this tank settles in after removing the sandbed before adding them.

leoslizards...the clowns I have are Percula Ocellaris. I'm using the stock style light on my Current Orbit fixture. It has a 6700ºK/10000ºK 40W bulb and a 420/460nm 40W bulb. They are about almost 6 months old so I am needing some new bulbs soon. That will make a big improvement.

Yeah... those shrooms spread out H U G E. Not sure if they are called "big reds" or what.. but they can spread out to about 6 inches across, in the right conditions. (whew!)

If your talking about the two in the lower right hand corner, yellowish looking with tiny polyps (circular frag disks) that is neon green devil's hand. Though it only looks neon green when it is contracted. Looks yellow when expanded.

If your talking upper right.. some exploding palythoa zoas (brick red and flour. orange lashes).

There is one small Zoa polyp on the very bottom, nuclear green type I think.. someone gave me I'm growing out.

The whole tank is a frag tank just about.. It will be seeding a new larger reef soon. I've had this tank up and going on about a year now. Can't fit anything else in it, and the sps, lps and softies and sponges need room to spread out. So I'm expanding shortly.

People said I couldn't keep a 10g tank, it would be too hard. So had to prove them wrong, and glad I did. Now.. totally hooked.. and upgrading. I'm glad I did the small before the big though. Good learning experience, and it helped me realize I love this SW stuff. I'll probably keep it going for a frag tank when I upgrade.

Thank you tubeworm_54.
