commercial SPS holding

Hi all, I am running a dedicated holding system for SPS. I currently run 1 X 250W 14000K phoenix bulb to cover each tube (96 cm X 69 cm), they're colorig up pretty nicely under this light, I set the water surface level just 8-10 cm above the frags tip, since I have 21 dedicated tubes for SPS electricity cost is starting to concern me. Would it at least hold the original coloration if i use 150w instead of 250w and lower the water level to 1-2 cm above the frags tip? I do not need the boosted growth rate coz the acros are not gonna stay there for more than 2 weeks. current MHs are hanged 25cm above the water surface

if you use a 150w phonix 14k and lower the level to the frags can you lower the light at all? if so i think it should be fine. i think about 2cms is an inch so so mhs are about 12.5inch above the water. if you lower it to about 8" i think youd be fine and wouldnt even have to adjust the water level. it may even be fine right now they way it is
