Zebra & Halloween Hermits

I have only used Blue Leg & Scarlet Hermits in the Past. I like Scarlets the best but they are awfully expensive. Zebra hermits look pretty decent, but what is there temperment? Are they as bad as blue legs? Also, is a halloween hermit kind of like an electric blue in size?

I have three hermits, and while they are a little more jerk-ish than reds, I don't find them bad at all; they've never touched anything in my tank beyond a featherduster(even then, only the small, soft tubed hitch hikers). Only complaint I can think of is they sometimes knock small rocks over.

Halloween hermits get large, like FO tank large. I had one that lived in a shell 4" across. I had another flat bodied hermit like that too, dark red with bright turquoise knees....even bigger!!

zebra/ halloween hermits are bad news i find they get large enough to harm corals when they walk over them. and sometimes they will open up corals that have recently eaten to get a meaty meal.

i have quite a few assorted hermits in a 125
they act like pack animals but they do their jobs quite well... always seeming to locate any leftover food/nori around the display

they seemed to be coexisting w/ the snails i have had
in there for almost a year now...

until recently thought i would add 50 small nassarius
(dont know the name but they are the smaller type of nassarius) -

hermits have cohabitated well w/ the other larger type nassarius living in tank and might be bec these larger white nassarius are faster to run away from hermits...

once added the slower smaller nass snails
these hermits like pack wolves moved in and started feasting!... by the next day seemed like almost every hermit in the tank was wearing a new condo on its back! once i realized it i have been trying to locate and remove all of these that i added as they each cost me 50cents/piece!... their new home is in the 50fuge!

have some halloween hermits
cant say have noticed anything any different about them... have hermits all over the tank... they all seem about the same to me...

I keep Red Scarlets, Baha Red Legs, Blue Legs, and Black and Whites.

My Baha Reds see, to be the largest in overall size and my Black and Whites have the large single claw.

I've had them in my 24g and my 75g mixed with Nassarius, Ceriths, Turbo, Baha, Margarita, and bumble bee snails.

I have never noticed any issues with cohabitation between them or my many other inverts. I have various size extra shells, from snails that died naturally, in the tank. I never seen any "attacking" of my snails. I love a variety of inverts!
