Why thank you Okiemike! lol Obviously he is talking about my avatar's nose.
BTW, can xena be plucked off of a rock with tweezers? Sorta like picking flowers? Will that work or will any residue regrow or foul the tank?

Sheryl, would cause more damage to the frag than needed. Any litle bit left will probably regrow, just cut em off, less stress than "ripping" them off the rock with tweezers.

Cut them? That will leave bits for sure. I want them permanently gone.
So then the cut part can be glued to a piece of rubble?

I just get my thumb nail under the foot of it and peel if off the rock. I have never had any problems with growth or fouling the system.

You can cut them close to the base of the stock, and then smear/inject kalkwasser on the remnants to keep it from growing back. After cutting, tie it to a rock (rubberband works too). They produce too much slime to have much success at gluing.

Travis, too much slime is an understatement! When I cut pom pom xenia, it's like little slimy snot balls when you fish them out of the tank. And since I hate to handle the slimy little boogers, I just put them in an area full of rubble, and let them attach on their own. I usually do this in my fuge, where I keep the bottom of it full of rubble, and it usually takes a couple days for them to attach. After they attach I move them to my frag tank and let them grow out. When moving them, do it in a small bowl, if you lift them out of the water, they again slime up really bad. And if you don't have a low current area, I've also used a small plastic colander on the cuttings, again over some rubble rocks, and that keeps them from blowing around.
