hell yea thats kettle one! lol.. thats the little bottle i keep the handle in the little nighstand thing! LOL

Reefing and drinking go hand in hand.. nothing better than sitting down in front of the tank slightly tipsy! haha my 2 favorite hobbies... and they are both equally expensive!!! i have a little tanquere 10, some martell vsop cognac, don julio anjeno, and then the rest of the normal necessaties

I just got my 30 cube close loops up and running last night... i have a ~54 turnovers per hour in the tank! AWESOME!!!

Rus, thanks for the beautiful picture. I've been struggling over what to do with my chiller, ups, and ballast. I am going to look into having a 1 piece unit built on the same premise as how yours looks in the photo. It isnt the first time Ive seen that design - but somehow I overlooked it.

Great thread. Kinda funny how the tank is reflective of ones surroundings: immaculate tanks=immaculate room. Great pics everyone.

Too true too true. That's why I'm not posting mine

Actually the digital camera is out of service at the moment, but at any rate, I know there are still some awesome tanks/rooms out there! You have to give us poor newies something to dream about

Doesn't matter what your room looks like. Let's see the whole picture. My sump room is a disaster right now. I'll go take a pic and post it, so then you have nothing to worry about.

Dang, no kidding Steve 68, It would take me a month to figure out where all those cords and lines went to....

JB NY, you got a map to find your way around in there, haha lol,

it would take a true master in that room.

JB NY,

Seriuosly, I forgot to mention, you have a dynamite WebSite. You do a super job of record keeping. Thanks for taking the time to write up how to grow out live food. I learned a lot from your writeup.

I've had the pleasure seeing JBNY setup in person (being I'm only 10 minuits away) , And OMG it's very humbeing . When I thought I was getting crazy with too much equipment , I went there and was blown away .
His ability to know what he's using and why , not to mention how to fit it in a house or how its all hooked up to his computer .
JBNY=super geniuss .

Joe's site encouraged me to start a phyto and rotifer culture. I've been feeding 1/3 of a 5gal tank of rotifers to my 29gal reef every night for a week now. Polyp expansion is already MUCH better than before.

Here's my 'fish room' in the basement. One brute trashcan holds new saltwater for my weekly waterchanges, and the other holds a month's worth of kalkwasser that's dosed upstairs to the sump via a litermeter III. I love it.

I also have some shots of the rotifers and phyto too... This room also doubles as a christmas storage room. Also a good place to drink beer and stare at rotifers.

FWIW, it's a rented house (My wife and I are working toward greencards... nobody seems to want to give me a mortgage on a temporary work visa. ) so I have no control over the ugly carpet and paneling. Too bad.

Thanks.

It's nice to have a room for the sole purpose of raising rotifers and phyto... It keeps my mess private, and makes my wife happy.

And that's what's important here... right?

Such beautiful rooms and Tvs!

I think this is one of the best threads I've read and viewed so far! However I'm still working on the TV. I currently have a 30 gal, and my TV is only a 20in, so far the tank is winning...then come summer and the new house! Keep them com'n!
