This is great seeing all these tanks.

One request...The tanks that are in the wall...Lets see the room BEHIND the tank. The room that holds all the equipment!

Thanks for all the compliments. It took me 7 months to build the room and another 5 months getting the tanks set up. I have got a picture of the back room that is a month or so old. I am still working on the back room trying to get conduit and water lines ran.

It's nice to see some smaller tv's. I'm feeling much better!

My tanks are not in a wall, but there's a sump/equipment room below them in the basement. I enjoy this room as much, if not more, than I do the display tank room.

The two refugiums were just set up tonight, is why the milk shake is going on. And the empty tank in the foreground is yet to be plumbed in as a prop tank:

My helper, checking water:

Have to excuse the storage shelves in the background. I just worked around them rather than move them. This house has been in the family for over 30 years now and the amount of junk that has piled up in the basement during that time is too overwhelming for me to move.

Do my eyes deceive me or is that a closet full of tanks?

Here we go...keep them coming! Tryyfin, do you have both tanks painted black on the back or is that some kind of drop cloth?

I was hinking of using a back drop cloth of some kind so I can view the tank from behind when it goes into the wall.

Are you using all PVC plumbing? I see no hose at all.

Great hob!

Yup. In that closet there are 12 ten gallon tanks and 3 twenty gallon tanks. The tens are for baby clownfish growout. And the twentys have broodstock pairs.

Thanks kozmo02

."thats a cool utility room. are the rubbermaids fuges or just sumps? with skimmers?"

As of now the rubbermaids are just sumps with skimmers. Although the sump for the soft coral tank also is my grow out area. I will probably be setting up a frag area for SPS in the SPS tank. Makes sense!! I have thouhgt about getting some mangroves and such and putting them in the sumps, have not made up my mind.

No both tanks are not painted. I went to a local fabric store and bought some light weight cloth and attached it to the trim on the tank with little clips I got at Lowes. Works great as you are able to see whats going on behind the rocks.

500 gal room

I'll add mine in.... Its a 22x22 room

This is a shot of the tank wall (north wall) and the west wall.

This is a shot of the wall opposite the fire place (east wall)

This is a shot at the wall opposite of the tank (south wall) and also with keeping in theme the big screen tv

And as some wanted with the in wall tanks the room behind it, its a 10x10 room with a floor drain, laundry sink, 4 dedicated 20 amp circuits, 210 cfm exahust fan with humdistat to control it.

There is more in my gallery too.....

Thumbs up

Great thread, there are some really nice tank rooms here. Here are a few pics of my humble basement. Oh, btw, don't mind my 1'' television, lol.

A view at the tank (If you noticed I turned the chair around)

I am LOVING this thread and couldn't wait to get home and take some pics of MY room...even though it doesn't hold a candle to you guys!

This is my "viewing" area - sit on the love seat with a book or just watch the tank. NO TVs in this room...but there's something special in the next pic. Hey, can you tell I vacuumed before taking the pic?

The main tank is 75g and is FISHLESS right now because STUPID ME didn't quarantine the yellow tang, and he came preloaded with ICH. Alas, to the left is the emergency hyposalinity setup, 9 days and counting. To the right is the 10g QT tank which will house a new flame angel when it finishes cycling.

Between the 75g and 10g is a pastic container with RO topoff water. When more entertainment is required than the fish can provide, the Fender Strat & amp are fired up - the vibration probably voids tank warranties.

Finally to the very right is the PC, complete with RC on it.
