If you follow the method exactly you will have good results. Here is a thread that I hope will help. I used interceptor and followed through with 3 doses over a 3 week period and did the 25% water changes. I am glad I did the interceptor treatment.

Dosing over 3 weeks with one large interceptor each time. I did a total of 6 25% water changes. Changing carbon each time after the 6 hour dose. Total of 6 carbon changes. No skimming during 6 hour dosing.

You will find some may do the dosing a little different. But all should do three treatments. Some do the first dose then wait 7 days and then 14 days. I did all my doses 7 days apart. Try to do the 25% water change 6 hours after dosing and include water volume of tank and sump. Remove all carbon while dosing and then add new back in during water changes. Change out carbon each time you do water changes. I did 2 water changes per dose and changed out carbon each of those times. Be sure and turn off uv lights if you have them as well as turning off skimmer. Skimmer can be turned back on after 6 hour dose. If you have scrimp and crabs try to remove all before dosing. Be sure and grind up interceptor to fine powder and just follow instructions and you will be glad you did the treatment.

Good luck Ralph. Chime back in if you have any questions. I know I had alot of questions before doing the treatments and during. You have a good size tank to treat and lots of water to make up. You will probably do somewhere around 500 gallons of water changes depending on how much live rock you have.
