Anyone ever hear of "mini-BTAs"

I had a guy offer to trade a couple "mini-BTAs" for my ballasts and lights I put up for sale here and over on nano-reef.com. I had never heard of such. he said they get about the size of a golfball and then split. he also said his split every month or so. he sent this picture

any of you heard or know anything about them?

One of my friends has GBTA that splits when its like baseball sized, its definetly not a majano. He trades them in at LFS once a year, and usually takes like 15-20 to them. Hes been doing that for like 4 or 5 yrs.

It could be, I don't know. I just didn't want you to get burned like that. I do see that bigger one in the picture now and it doesn't look like a majano.

No, I'm pretty sure that isn't a majano. I've seen enought to know. It does look like a very small bubble tip.

I just got to thinking. Maybe they are regular BTA's but something in the tank is causing them to split before they get full size? Just an idea. Sortof like bonzai anemones.
