Air Water Ice sensoring?

I just posted in an RO/DI thread and noticed that air_water_ice.com (whithout the underscores) is being sensored?

I don't quite get it. For example:

spectrapure.com
filterguys.biz
purelyh20.com
<b>removed for violation of our commercial policies</b>.com

I am not sure what they did, but exactly why is their name being sensored from the forums? I can see banning them from posting... but actively removing a vendors name from the forums and editing out any link to the their site? So if SLS or PFO or Spectrapure or Eheim or ANY OTHER COMPANY falls into distaste with the RC staff, their name becomes the name that can't be spoken?

I could care less either way.... I just want some clarification, as this seems kinda strange.

Bean - we only take measures like that in extreme cases. I used to be a happy customer of theirs so you can be certain that it wasn't my first choice. We try very hard to make discussions, outside of the sponsor forums, completely vendor neutral. When you have folks who resort to dishonesty, in order to drive business, we sometimes have to respond accordingly.

Thanks... thats all I needed. As I mentioned, I had no bone to pick, was just curious as to the details or if the noticed behavior was be design.
