Tank Photos!
Well, Ron explained to me how to put pictures on RC, so i'm gonna share my tank pictures.
Ignore the cyano please!!!!! My clam from above. My clam from the side. Wierd, he's an orangy color from the side. Some bleached eagle eye zoas. Green pallys I got at the last meet. Mixed zoa colony from JoMars. Some cool pallys I got at Petland, lol. My runt seahorse named Runtie,lol... Female seahorse, named Mystery. From SpongeBob...hehehe... This is my favorite pic. This was at feeding time, and Runtie is hitching on his sister's head, lol. This is all 3 of the healthy horses. The male was still in QT at this time... Well, that's all of them for now. Now we'll see if they even work...lol.

To take care of that cyno:
Cerith snails, scarlet hermits (love the stuff), nerite snails, etc. Check phosphate level (this is usually the big reason-even if you use ro/di water you still can have phosphate)-can get phosgaurd or like product, or the aqua-pure phosphate pads, old lights, lights on too long or direct sunlight and high nitrates. Good luck, takes a few weeks to get it under control but once its gone... Nicole |

old lights contribute to this problem as stated above. I was trying to save money, so I waited over 8 months to change out my acintics, and seems overnight I noticed cyano on rocks, sand and even some corals. I didn't realize why, so I kept blowing the stuff off and scooping it up with my net. I looked it up on the net and it said that old lights were a problem because cyano grew under those conditions. As soon as I changed my light out, the problem was gone.
Very nice seahorses Brock! How is the daddy and have the babies been born yet?

Thanks everyone, but I am already working on the cyano, that's why I said to ignore it...
The daddy seahorse is fine, but no, he hasn't had the babies yet... I'm starting to worry about the brood...

I might be willing to trade for a healthy ~4-5" Galaxea fascicularis. I'll snap a pic later for upload if you are interested. Email: ppurcell [at] wideopenwest [dot] com.
I also have several turbo snails, a pincushion urchin and a pencil tip urchin that I'd like to see go to a new home. |

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. You want to trade some snails and urchins for a galaxea? I don't have a galaxea anymore.

Try Chemi-Clean... I hate to put stuff in my tank, but this stuff works!!! Make sure to turn your skimmer off for about 2 hours though as it will make it go crazy...

Kind of hard to ignore the cyano. Clean it up before it gets way out of control...

Cmon guys this give this guy a break. If he says the cyano is under control then he is probably working hard to get rid of it. I think your aquarium is coming along well. An urchin, snails, and crabs will clean that cyano in no time.
