There's scuttlebutt? Huh. I've not heard anything. We've had Vonage for about 2 years now or so...I've got no complaints with them whatsoever. I do with Time Warner cable who's service is unreliable at best. So I do get the occasional dropped call but I don't blame Vonage.

Vonage users 3 years, overall no complaints. No long term contracts to worry about. With savings I get from Vonage over Verizon's, I have more money to spend on reefers, I mean reef keeping, etc. If your broadband is good and reliable, I would recommend it. They've introduced many features recently. In fact, I'm considering getting rid of my answering machine and use their "visual" voicemail instead. problem is wife likes to push buttons so I'm hacking something up with flatscreen monitor with touch screen so she can simply pick and choose which messages to listen to from the screen. problem is the websession is timing out all the time and I need to hack it so that visual voicemal web page is kept alive, etc.

Anyway, bottom line is go for it. cheers.

Looked up some info with google. It seems Vonage settled with Verizon, but the article said paying the settlement uses a lot of cash reserves and Vonage may be doomed anyway. The article was dated 10/25 FWIW
