what a sound?!
So I woke up this morning, and what did I hear in my room , but a pump on one of my three tanks. I followed the sound and figured out what tank it was. I had never had any trouble with any of the pumps on the tank, but my first guess was my prizm. I unplugged it, and the niose was still there. So then I figured it was my OLD HOB filter, unplugged it, and that wasn't it. Well, I have a powerhead directly below it, so I unplugged it and plugged it back in figuring that it was clogged with calc build up. The noise was still there but it stopped when I unplugged it. So I pulled the powerhead up and what did I see?! My false-eyed puffer was in the intake keeping water from being sucked through. I thought he was DEAD! So I took one of my nets and poked him, trying to get him unstuck, and figured I'd just scoop up what was left of him. well, I poked him twice and out he swam. I thought he was MULCH! Only thing wrong with him is that one side of his mouth is alittle red, but otherwise is acting normal. I am sooo happy, it's my fav. fish. I guess he puffed up, and that saved him from being sucked in. Thank god!
that's the end of my long post, sorry, Brandon |
