Im Buddhist and thought i would reply to a previos comment. There are different forms of Buddhism and some believe in Buddha Siddhartha Gotama ad being sort of a god and worship his statue. Other forms believe that he was one of the first to obtain enlightenment and teach it to others. But the ultimate goal of buddhism is Nirvana.Actually, nirvana simply means cessation. It is the cessation of passion, aggression and ignorance; the cessation of the struggle to prove our existence to the world, to survive. Buddhist's believe that others who have obtain enlightenment and helped other along the way are sorta like god's.
